Format Scanning
Medium format negatives is film that is considered any size up to 4" x 5" in colour or black and white. Large format negatives are 4" x 5" and larger.
In the last 4 or 5 years medium and large format photography has moved into the digital age and is still used in advertising, fine art, for landscape shots and more.
To preserve your family’s old medium and large format negatives we have the capacity to scan all sizes to JPEG or TIFF file formats, performing all the standard extras such as cropping, orientation, colour optimisation and sharpness correction.
What Scanning Resolution is Right for me?
2400DPI
Standard Resolution
2400 dpi is perfect for slideshows, TV, mobile devices, social media and small prints.
3600DPI
High Resolution
3600 dpi is great for photo books, limited editing (zoom and crop) and will print to nearly A4 size from a 6x4 scan.
4800DPI
Ultra-High Resolution
4800 dpi will provide advanced editing and print to nearly A3 size from a 6x4 scan.

Medium format negatives is film that is considered any size up to 4″ x 5″ in colour or black and white. Large format negatives are 4″ x 5″ and larger.

We scan slide film from 35mm to 127 Super at high resolution for quality results. Using Epson V700 and V800 scanners, we gently remove loose dust before scanning.
Conditions for Medium Format Scanning
1. Film must be in good condition with no mould, rips and or tears. If film is sent curled or damaged then we may not be able to scan the film.
2. No Blu Tac, sticky tape or staples are to be attached to the film.
3. iSRD cannot be used on Black and White Negatives.
4. Large Format is considered to be larger than 60 x 90mm.
5. Minimum scanning charge of $80.00. Set-up Fee per Job of $19.95.
