To legally commence the marriage process, it\u2019s important to sign the Notice of Intended Marriage at least one month before your wedding date.<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tMost people have a good idea as to what they\u2019ll need to organise for their wedding; venue, reception, flowers, hair, suits, cars, rings, caterers, cake, DJ. But what do you need to make it legal?\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tEnter your celebrant. As well as helping create and conduct your wedding ceremony, it\u2019s our job to deal with the paperwork necessary to officially register the marriage. Apart from all the other preparation and organisation for your wedding, to legally commence the marriage process, it\u2019s important to sign the Notice of Intended Marriage at least one month before your wedding date.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tTo do this, your celebrant will need to confirm your identity and your place of birth. So, you\u2019ll need to provide a legal document (usually a driver\u2019s license, a passport or birth certificate).\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tIf you\u2019ve been married before, we\u2019ll need proof you are no longer married, either by way of a divorce order or death certificate. If any of these items are problematic, please contact me and we can discuss what options you have and possible solutions.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tSigning the Notice of Intended Marriage officially green lights the wedding process. This form, along with the Declaration of No Legal Impediment and Marriage Certificate all form the paperwork that needs to be submitted to register your wedding.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAs your celebrant, it\u2019s my responsibility to help you with the submission of these documents to make your marriage legal in Australia.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tDuring the ceremony we will need two witnesses to the marriage: they must over 18, and they must be able to hear what is being said, and understand English (or have an interpreter present).\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tWe can create a unique event, or follow traditions for your ceremony, but it must meet legal requirements. I\u2019m more than happy go through all of these with you.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
